First Boccadasse, and now a "School of Fish" in Boccadasse :-)
Oct 17, 2021,01:10 AM
First off, thanks for a superb new topic Moritz, we are already seeing some really interesting and unexpected entries in this thread from our fellow members!
A natural choice for me is obviously my most beloved "Boccadasse" Patek...before that spring 2018 morning that my main AD sent me the first pictures from Basel of Patek's new enamel offerings, we would have NEVER imagined one the three "Italian themes" that year was going to represent my favorite location in the entire world....precisely the same where I spend countless nights every summer enjoying my friends' company and one (or four) great cocktails!
I have seen only *one* other "Boccadasse" 5177G-010 Patek in the wild in over three years...so I'll forever be REALLY thankful to Patek for allocating me one! ;-)
Fast forward to this year....I let it be known since June 16, the day of the 2021 Rare Handcrafts announcement, that one of my big favorites was Anita Porchet's 5177G-028 "School of Fish"....in the end, wouldn't a Boccadasse-School of Fish combo of enamel Pateks just be too lovely to have in one collection?
I knew this year the competition was even tougher than in the past, with requests coming to Patek from literally all over the world, so I wasn't expecting to be allocated another one of these marvels so early....until, thankfully, the call arrived again ;-) I'll be picking it up over Christmas at one of the Italian ADs. I already have some pics of the actual piece which I cannot share for obvious reasons (it's still double sealed), so for the time being a press picture I got in June should do
Looking forward to posting some wristshots of this beauty on our forum as soon as I'm in Italy in December! ;-)
Thanks again for a great theme Moritz -- and have a great weekend Everyone!
