About 10 years ago I bought a watch which was probably my first ever Grail, something which when I first became interested in watches I never could have imagined owning... an IWC Big Pilot. It was a new 5004 which is an amazing watch. After many years I became hung up on the aesthetic and charm of the 5002 with slow beat movement and traded out of my 5004 for it. In some ways I prefer the slowbeat as it does kinda make the watch feel more vintage like. Some time later, my priorities changed and had to sell it partly because I was starting to graduate away from big, heavy watches, as well as our family was in desperate need for an updated kitchen!
4 years removed and I'm back! This time in titanium which is a HUGE improvement in wearability. A month in and I'm definitely still in the Honeymoon phase.
Great theme this week, Count. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
