Very nice, a great document to go with a VERY special watch!

Hi Dean,

I think having that type of documentation really complements the watch.  Congratulations.

Have you timed the watch itself to see how it is running now?  Any thoughts of having VC restore (if necessary) and trying to regulate it to the best of their current abilities?

My pocket watch varies  from 0-6 seconds fast in all 6 positions, when put on a timing machine.  I've been using it over this past week, winding it every morning, placing it in my pocket during the day and lying it dial up, dial down, pendant up at night.  It is averaging +3 seconds per day, a total of +22 seconds over the past 7 days - good enough for U.S. railroad standards back in the day.

I think that's pretty good, but it could probably do even better if a watchmaker took the time to carefully regulate it to to the best of the watch's capabilities - but that's not a common request/activity these days.  The Oliviers and Batifoliers are an even rarer breed today than they were decades ago.

Best Regards, Dan
