case size is a personal thing
I had to let go of my Gen II chrono because it was too large, was always conscious of banging it against things! The Gen I fits perfectly so it remains a favourite. Also for sentimental reasons since it was my gateway to the brand, as I'm sure it was for many.

I also prefer the case shape of the first generation, but not the logo, date window or bracelet... If only we could have the best of both worlds!

But one is way too small the other way too expensive So none But only considering the looks both are lovely
35 mm is small, but the presence on the wrist seems larger than the rated size would suggest.

Tough call — normally I would gravitate to the smaller version —
But, in this case I prefer the salmon dial of the third generation versus the copper dial of the first iteration. That being said, I would definitely need to see them at hand.

I like the platinum case and I like how the newer bracelet links take their design cues from the Maltese cross. I always thought this was a cool idea.
The links design of third gen is interesting indeed.
I would just say that, as the Maltese cross motif is already on the bezel, it makes this motif a bit insistent. But it’s nice nonetheless.
