I come here because I can unashamedly enjoy and discuss the fine things in life. No excuses. No explaining. No need to preface anything. I don't ask for people's life stories or personal positions.

And I think we all get along when we stick to the stuff that we definitely have in common. The good things in life that we are privileged enough to enjoy and don't need to apologize for.
I'm sure there are other forums on the internet where people can have philosophical and political discussions about ethics, morals, freewill, determinism, religion, identity etc etc. This is my only social media presence. I'd rather identify people here by the watches and cars in their collections, food that they have eaten, places they have visited and other epicurean experiences they have lives than by some nebulous position they may have.
Because if we mix the two then this collection of people gets sorted into even smaller buckets. For now let's just draw battle lines on Pro and Anti Grey Market and Patek Before/After Theirry Stern.

I am in total agreement with your statement. It is one thing to have someone posting politically themed content with some personal bias/agenda on the menu - that is immediately clear when it happens, and ought to be promptly moderated. It is a totally dif...
Well, than that reflects poorly on the members here....

The point being, we all ought to be mature enough here not to descend into any form of reactionary commentary! The constructive solution, in an ostensibly high-brow forum like this one, isn't to immediately cut-out any form of topic that just may lead int...
Spangles is spot on. What may be an objective opinion to you . . .

. . . could well be subjective to another. That's why the moderator team edits any explicitly political thread. We simply don't have the time to scrutinize, weigh, and balance every post. We are moderating the forest as well as the trees. When a forest is...
