My 60gig iPod, 3 months out of warranty, died recently. It will no longer sync to my computer and the battery will not hold a charge (obviously two manufacturing defects). Yesterday I brought it in to the Apple store expecting them to charge me $50 or som...

I don't want to be the devil's associate, BUT you can't say you don't want to hear about touch screen therefor it is the future... heard about microsoft's SURFACE ?

but when u ONLY have a touch screen on a phone, given the size of our fingers, that just doesn't make sense. IPhone's screen is bigger, but the touch screen part of the keyboard is still too small. Even Steve Jobs made some typos (he fixed them of course)... 

We converted to Mac at home a couple years ago and have been completely problem free. Let's hope it stays that way. But I must say, our experience overall has been excellent.

I understand completely that sometime things don't work as well as planned. What bothers me is the corporate policy of how these things are dealt with. Did anyone imagine when they bought their $350 iPod that it was a product Apple refuses to service and ... 

So strange Steve.. anytime any of us had problems with our ipod's, nano's or even shuffles we bring them back to the store and they get replaced free of charge. not sure what the corporate policy is but the service myself and others received was pretty to...
