Is the Kubei that you speak of in the Ginza area? I thought it was spelled Kuybey ( and not far from the Panerai Boutique IIRC) but no matter. If it's the same place than I've been there! I'm no sushi connoisseur but that place was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly was that your experience too?

The extensive use of gold flakes does not make it the best! To be honest, the ingredients do not look that great (the uni for example), and the maki techniques look amateurish. I certainly hope LA can offer better. The Shirako looks terrible ! And served ...
