Ah, the amazing differences.
Yes, note the anglage and clean lines of the Lexicon, the high tech case material, and its gently tapered feet. Finally, of course, the Lexicon dazzles us with the "panda" disc tray and display. Clearly, they went the extra mile and their machine is a cut above!

Hello all! After reading about this, I'm glad I bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player! What does everyone think of such shenanigans? -MW from google news article: Blu-ray Maker Re-Boxes $500 Player, Charges $3,500 Above you see two Blu-ray players. On the botto...

The fact that the entire chassis of the other player was inside the $3500 model is amazing. For some reason the first thought that pops to mind right now is, "There's a sucker born every minute." Oh, well. If you have the extra $3,000 to burn then why not...

Not an argument about audio cable! How do you know your evaluation was ceteris paribus? In any case, Monster Cables?? Come on...Reference Lab for me (I get them free) As for the Lexicon, personally, I think they should print some grubby fingermarks around...

How do you KNOW the chair you are sitting on is really there, and you are not really sitting on the floor in a drunken stupor from the funny water you drank last night? I'm not sure how serious your comments were (or tongue in cheek, or part serious, part...

It was more in reference to the internet battles I've seen discussing cables. Interminable, circular arguments.... [To clarify: I also agree there are definite differences in performance for a given specification; I used to be a audio tech in a former lif...
100% Agree

Ahh, the lack of nuance in internet communication strikes again (either that or my sarcasm came across like my normal writing...ooops! ) There are definitely differences and sound is not the only factor. Durability, ease of splicing and changing connector...
but on a digital signal...?
By: Ir77 : January 28th, 2010-12:02
you're sending a bunch of 010101010 down the cable, wouldn't it just be a matter of the cable actually being able to carry the signal from your tv to your blue ray and that's it? would a pure digital signal really be that susceptible in a 4ft distance tha...

Hi, ir, do cables and connectors POSSIBLY make a difference with analog signals? yes, of that I have no doubt. can cables and connectors make a difference with digital signals? I'm less sure, but aren't digital signals still vulnerable to bandwidth issues...

Hi MW, I've been through a few Linn systems, from and entry-level to a top flight system based around the CD12, Klimax 500 amps and Klimax Control Pre-Amp to what I have now, an A/V system based around a Unidisk 1.1 and "aktiv" amps and speakers (i.e., di...
