Ahh, the lack of nuance in internet communication strikes again (either that or my sarcasm came across like my normal writing...ooops! smile )

There are definitely differences and sound is not the only factor.

Durability, ease of splicing and changing connectors (real fun when up inside a false ceiling in 40degC heat), even how difficult they are to coil - this is for PA systems - are all factors. What one is willing to pay for the features perceived or otherwise is completely up to the individual, it's the subjective justifications that are the amusing part (sounds exactly like watches....)

Personally, as written before, I use Reference Lab. 1) Because they are recommended by my godfather/boss who has been in the AV game for 50 years... and 2) he gives me them for free smile
