That was an awful article... The weakest arguments possible... I want my five minutes back.

The article never made its point about its argument about DESIGN FLAWS, its title.
Further evidence of this writer's incompetence in bringing about a solid argument is how he addresses "quality issues" where he states that Rolex does have a small "minute" amount of quality issues but NEVER GOES ON TO SAY WHAT KIND OF QUALITY ISSUES HE'S DISCOVERED...
This article is full of conjecture with weak opinion and little evidence and is mainly related to dial spacing and hash mark sizing, extremely subjective matters. Another quote: "Rolex tends to commercialize this [the Cyclops magnification lens for the date] for mountain climbers checking the date from a distance with one hand dangling from a rock." I have one word to the author, "really? Are you serious?"
What am I missing in this article? What was it about this article that you felt so compelling about it that you wanted to share it with us? I must be missing what you see in this article. Or is this a big joke and I'm totally falling for it? I'm so confused... Maybe my computer didn't load the whole article and I just happened to miss all his evidence for his arguments?
