A lot of us have been complaining of too much text on Subs and Daytonas for the past two decades :-)
Willing to accept flaws might be a better term, instead of "blind" in the article. Very few designs are 100% perfect. If people like everything about a watch except one or two details, I think the mass majority of people are willing to accept it and go ahead with the purchase. Unless that detail is a major eyesore.

Common people look at Rolex and see money
Most of the customers are excited and caught by the value. That's all they really matter. Design, watchmaking, precision, finishing, these are just extra features. Mostly unknown. Rolex has been my first watch, but I've moved away long ago

Not at all. They're a feature, used by fans to identify different batches in order to have a more valuable and rare product. This is what I read if I read a bit deeper, the article is just a subjective and boring list 😅
