Some history....
.....i had always chased a 5510.... came close on quite a few occasions. I spent no time at all looking for a 6200. Yet, out of the blue, this one came right up to me from nowhere and it was for sale...well, it came right up to a very good German friend of mine who happened to be standing next to me when it was offered to him!!
So i spent no time or effort in the hunt. OK, i spent a week or two checking the watch out for correctness etc...but once it cleared all the necessary hurdles, I took it. Then, because of insurance, it just went into the foreign safe box and i didn't see it basically until we met up in Switz.... hence there was an odd history for this one.
But thanks to you...LoL....it has grown on me quite a bit!!

The diversity of the GMT collection is totally under estimated.

What I love about not just this post, but the entire Pan Am trilogy is the fact that it is so much a journey. From the tickets to the ashtrays. The GMT is, of course, a central part of that journey but its journey is made so much richer by the accompanyin...
