For those who are not totally convinced by a good old gold vintage Rolex: Rolex Submariner 1680 in yellow gold.

Credit picture: Antiquorum. It is hard not to fall in love with this chromatic combination, blending blue, chocolate and gold. Best, Nicolas ...

Maybe if it "looks" too good to be true?

It is :-(

If any auction house posted this, I'd be suspicious...

But considering it's from Antiquorum... It's practically a guarantee that it's dubious!

Hehehe...

Not from auction house, but otherwise am convinced!

Good one!

Total stand out.

The watch, clearly.

 By: amanico : September 13th, 2021-06:35

No one mentioned the nipple markers...

Pretty unusual on their own.

Only the 18kt. GMT Masters?

 By: MikiJ : September 13th, 2021-13:58

Two tone, too.

Here is a full gold Sub:

And some GMT MASTER: ...

What I thought, too.

I Don’t buy that dial for a second.

Shame a lovely watch is ruined. M.

As I said, IF correct only. ;)

Looks good,

it seems made for Abu Dhabi police, the bag has a crest of Abu Dhabi police, and the paper has a stamp of the Rolex exclusive dealer in Abu Dhabi.

My little contribution, even if not "color change" is a more than nice 1680 specimen

 By: Peppo : January 18th, 2022-22:45
It's an early 660/200 with a correct "white number" insert and a very rare Pat Pend bracelet. Enjoy ...

All I have is the 16808.

Next to its modern counterparts. ...

All I can contribute is..

Modern two tone. I like vintage Rolex but if you go too far back the bracelets get a bit too rickety for my taste . ...

I am neither a believer or lover of tropical anything.

But I’m a lover of vintage Gold submariners. The 1680/8 and 16808 with Nipple dials are fantastic. M.

HA! THAT is a great idea!!!
