I concur, I prefer the closed 6 and 9 as seen on the current Explorer. As for availability, the world is becoming poorer. Rolex stores are mandated to tell you something isn't available. But if it is, expect a call back in as little as 2 hours! "Oh, we just got one released, you can have it now!" And if you're a remembered client, they may say, "we only have one available, this one..." It's a tactic they use, but don't worry, there should be enough watches in reality. Or, you can go to Chopard and get an Alpine Eagle. Slightly more rigid bracelet at Chopard, movement doesn't have this special escapement, but the polish work and details of the case are sooo nice. And you can get the Salmon dial XPS version if you don't mind spending a lot more for the special LUC Geneva Seal Micro Rotored movement! Which is finished to a very high level!
