Richard Mille

Thank you all...

I appreciate the advice and insight.  Its nice to get the insight of a wide variety of collectors.  At least everyone on this board isn't afraid to give a real opinion.

I agree to an extent about the chrono being "race inspired" - but take a step back...its the engine which creates the "speed" which is timed.  To me, I find a tourbillon to be a "simple" design - well, some of them.  A tourbillon may be complicated to build, time, balance etc, but it isnt a cluttered watch and provides a "clean" look.

To me the 003 appears a bit cluttered in pictures with the white backgroung and additional hands.   I love the clean look of the 005 and 010 but, to me, for that kind of money I'd like something a bit more special.  I dont find the movement all that interesting, however with the release of the 010 and its semi skeletonized movement, is growing on me.

John - we've spoken about this particular watch before and I can confirm your opinion has remained the same smile

Andrew - thank you for the information and for the links -

To me, the movement says alot about a watch.  I appear to have a love of Tourbillons and a tourbillon created by R&P with truly "Advanced" design, materials and construction is something which seems to tug my heart.

Its interesting to know that "all?" the RM tourbillons are based upon the 002 movement.  So, 75 tourbillons a year....Now I'm starting to see why the prices are where they are. Its hard to do all this marketing with 75 watches to sell smile

Next time around....I want to be born Swiss smile.

I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again,
