Patek Philippe

What you say is true

in the mean time, I decide if I like or don't like a watch by taking it as a whole, as it is, thus don't look at the "usefulness" issue or how it could have been with this or that other complication. It is a fun intellectual exercize but not the reflex I have when considering a purchase. I guess that there would be as different watches as there are owners.

I usually try to see if the watch pleases me (style, complication, size etc...) and don't try to imagine how it would be in the most perfect combination, otherwise i don't think I would ever buy a watch.

The combination the brand has chosen is also what makes the watches special.

For instance, if they as made this 5930 with AC+chrono, it would have only been another iteration of the 5960 adn 5905. I think it is interesting to have diversity, as long as it is coherent and nice looking.

The only true improvement would be the 12H counter over the 30 minutes one.

Even in that case, I don't think that half of the expected clients will cancel there move because of that. We like here discussing about perfection (at least what we consider perfect). Discussing about what could be and our tastes is a part of our pleasure to be here (and to listen to other members' tastes and experience as well). But when a brand decides what a new model should be like, I don't think this is the only creteria to take into account smile

Cheers, Mark
