I followed the same path
First day, I put it aside and was attracted by the 5230 and 5327 (and several rose gold models as well but not as clearly).
Now I'm understanding it and estimating it much better. In fact, I'm really surprised to say this but if I had to buy something it will be between this one and the 5327 (if confirmed in the emtal of course).
I saw some pictures under the shadow where the dial looks black and it looks stunning as well. We'll see in the future what they'll do.
As for the AC, I didn't see it that way. I read some forumners meant "combination" as a kind of synergical use of both. Of course, I think that AC is more useful (at least to me) compared to WT. Travellers may think otherwise though.
