In general we all have to pay the same price, but the value of something depends on us. Our knowledge, our preferences, our experiences, our taste, our ... .
The personal value should be the driver for our purchases, nothing else.
I see lots of improvements in the current collection, especially when I look to their in-house movements. Not all of them are that important to me, but that´s me - only.
For example: I like and appreciate the new chronograph movements in general, but prefer the manual ones. The 5170 is superb and the full "package" (style, feeling on my wrist ...)
is for me superior to any 5070. 5970 (with black dial!) vs 5270 - easy decision, because of style I would go for the old one. If there is a black dial version of the 5270 in the future ... - who knows
So far I didn´t purchase any of them. One reason is, that it would be even harder to save the money for something I really love - the 5950 ... Will I ever reach that goal? Who knows, but at least
my decisions are based on my own values. One is for sure, I can´t get them all and even this is fine for me!
Today I think a lot of people know the price of everything, but what do they know about the value of something? Just a thought!
