For me the patriarch of all PP variants of their self-winding chronos and triple date windows post 2006. So practical, useful, classical, and above all beautiful. I think you know what I would choose (when forced), but to be honest both are different and ... 

Took me quite a few years to finally realize that dream. Totally agree this is a tough one to choose But luckily I don’t have to 🙏🏻

for its sportier handset and the finishing of the calendar windows. There’s many more tiny differences but these two swing the balance in the A’s favour for me.

They are very creative and smart to create the product into so many variants and yet not boring at all. Kudos to them rather than some others with just color dial differences. I have to admit I reach for the A more often.

I could never decide which version to get. This is the right way to do it. Collect them all. Very nice!

Carbon fiber straps is bad ass

How do you like the optics on the black dialed A? I had the chance to try this on new but thought the dial and configuration made it look small (visually with the white ring around) so went out and got the silver/ white dial later 2nd hand. From a rarity ... 

The black dial has a look that attracts or sucks me into it, lol….I have to admit the rarity pushed me over but I will be happy with either one.

I prefer the bracelet because the powerful black dial provides a stark contrast to the light colored bracelet. Very eye catching ! Be double-wristed with them often !

It just keeps drawing me into it. I’ll double wrist when I have chance to wear a jacket 😅

You know already that I’m a big fan of this important watch and am pleased to see you have the original Geneva seal. This watch excited me so much on launch. I’m pleased to say it still does to this day. You have the best of both worlds for this watch rig... 

I’m happy to get both versions although some will say the Lancaster version is the best A…that is a different league 😬 Enjoy yours as well, M.

..and really compliment each other well. I had the 5960 P as my desk top back ground for more than a year. It’s such a beautiful Watch. I really like the idea that you have ave the first and the last of this successfull Patek. Very well played 👌

But I’m a conservative and not skillful person, not good at swapping, afraid to scratch’s the lugs. I wish more brands/models have quick releases for bracelets like the VCs, APs, Hublots and many others. Thank you!

easy for this reference to justify 2, especially since the A has such different character from the precious metal versions. for choice here I would go with your A, but the P is not far behind!

I remember you also have both, the special A and this grey P, so you might be one of the members who planted a seed in my head.
