Patek Philippe

Thanks for your article about this great watch.

The PT version is my fav 5110. Due to the contrast between the central part and the cities ring, a smaller diameter works better and it is the reason why, with such configuration, I prefer the 5110. But I don't feel the same with WG and PG versions: I much prefer the 5130 thanks to use of these superb "scissors" hands.

It is also the reason why I would have preferred, for dial balance, to see the dial of the 5131 with a 5110 base.

About the folding clasp, my 5130 has the Calatrava one. Not for aesthetical reasons because the other clasp is also pretty nice and I was happy with it. But because it has a main failure which was detected by Patek: it tends to enlarge the hole in which the pin of the clasp is inserted due to its shape. So there is a risk, of course very low but higher than zero to lose the watch. I highly recommend to switch to the Calatrava folding clasp for this reason.

Thanks again for your article which describes very well the love you feel with this watch.
