Like you, I simply like everything about this watch and it came as an evidence that no other affordable Patek Philippe would make as much sense for me. So I jumped at the chance.

Yes, and a seal from 1886
makes more sense for such a vintage inspired watch than the modern PP seal from 2009. The ref. 5098P was launched in 2007 for the 80th anniversary of the last original Gondolo wristwatch sold in 1927 (and the example that served as a model is from 1925).
