I appreciate the perspective. I hear you on the case design point, but having it on the wrist a lot recently, I personally do not find the case to be the cause of the formal feeling.
To me, nothing says formal more than a black glossy croc strap, which is why Iโm conducting my experiment. If Iโm being totally honest, I think the G does feel more at home on a black strap, but the chocolate is growing on me, and, to me, it definitely makes it wearable in more casual clothes and settings. Just my opinion, of course, and I appreciate you sharing yours.

In fact, i always ask for PP to replace the glossy with a matt black or matt blue. Lte us know how teh experiement goes
