Patek Philippe

Collected my 6007A today. I also had a black calf skin strap fitted to my 5212A. 6007A is a very beautiful watch and it is much better in real life compared to the photos. However if I can have only one steel Calatrava it will be the one on the right. Out...  

Had the 5212A for nearly 10 months now, just had a new black calf skin strap fitted in.

I prefer 6007A. It’s a modern and sporty looking Calatrava. I really dislike the font of 5212A; the complication is nice though. Best, V.

Personally for choice I would be in the minority camp here... but 6007a for me

I also own both and although they are quite different and I don’t really have a favourite, if pushed I would go with the 6007A. ...

for the lovely egg shell white patina on the dial, for the gorgeous lugs, for the typo of the days of the week and months resembling handwritten typo, for being on my wrist a lot of the time!

my vote would go for Weekly Calendar...I like the font, the dial color, and the stepped lugs....let us say I like everything about it ! Best, Mahesh.,

And not desire (already had 5524 and thought be nice pair)...I then passed it back at retail...silly I know but allowed me to take the moral high ground...the 6007 is the same....the 6000 is a great watch....do I desire one....not particularly....

Do you also buy at US ADs? Your gesture to give back at retail the 5522 after you realized you didn't like it was *great* --- should actually be the norm, but alas, you are probably an exception! ;-) Cheers.

the real allure of the 6007 is having it where not many can. Were it in standard production, few would probably buy it as it lacks Patek DNA and so closely resembles three or four other watches especially the JLC. The 5212 now that is something really des... 

The way the days and weeks are printed is so unique in the watchmaking world. It is simply fascinating how patek dared to be different and to stand above the crowd without overdoing it, that is, with subtlety and class. Kudos to the team who conceived thi... 

My personal preference goes to the 5212, I feel it’s has an easy going elegance to it. A certain je nes se quois. Enjoy both ! H.

The 6007A might be limited to 1000 pieces but for me this watch looks like a Swatch ...
