The uber rich are just looking to park their money in alternative investments now because they're afraid to stick money in the stock market with all the US Fed pumping money in non-stop. That's my opinion 
These guys don't care about couple millions of dollars, and it's just a principle of "I want to have this painting no matter how much it'll cost me."
