I agree that buying a common watch doesn't make any sense, other than the convenience and fun of the occasion. For truly rare pieces, which tend to be vintage, I get why people buy at auction. I do it myself, as I don't have any alternatives as I am prett...

I agree with you. Piece of mind. Reassurance. That is worth a price and often that is a premium. I much rather pay more and be sure I am getting what I want than save pay less and then find out that I am not really getting what I paid for. No box, no pape...

The uber rich are just looking to park their money in alternative investments now because they're afraid to stick money in the stock market with all the US Fed pumping money in non-stop. That's my opinion :) These guys don't care about couple millions of ...
