Just awful news. I’m so sorry.
Things like this always get me thinking what we as a community can do to avoid something like this happening to us. You can ignore my questions, but any advice you can provide to help keep our watches more safe at home would be appreciated. Did you have an alarm system? Did you have a safe? If yes, was the safe broken into to? Are you willing to share any details of the burglary so we all can improve our security? As I said, feel free to ignore or let us know what situations to avoid such as watches kept in a sock drawer, etc.

As a note, the 5970P is well worn and not a safe queen. It has clear marks at nine from love and wear. Marks on side of case I too would think it is difficult to sell these without box ad papers and would never buy myself, so probably something that will ...

It’s really terrible. I hope you recover your watches and the criminals are locked away.
So sorry about your loss. I feel for you. It happened to us once, right after my mother died and they took sentimental heirlooms and jewelry she had left for our kids! A real violation of your personal space and dominion!

Check pawn shops
Sometimes they will drop the watch vs a loan secured by the watch and disappear. You have to think like a money launderer. It’s likely they are just looking for liquidity and not really caring about the value.
