If you are not sure you got all the mentioned details, I can recommend Ron DeCorte´s article (watch around, Nr. 010).
Another reason why we don´t see that many around/here, could be that quite a few people seriously interested have to safe longer than ever before ... ;-)

in my opinion...
the reason is the high price, and the fact that there is no longer a limit as to the number of movements that can be manufactured by PP, in comparison to the Lemania based movements of the 5070.

Hi, I don't remember the launch of the 5070 or at least if itwas easily available but I've been proposed a 5070R and 5970R at the Paris salon in 2005 and I was not a customer. I love the 5170. I would get it if I could. Best Dje

I found your post. You wrote however that you prefer 5960 to 5170. How about 5960R with white dial that was just released? Would you take that over the 5170? Also, I was surprised to hear that you had issues with the movement in 5170 after 2 months only! ...
