Cal. 215 is too small for gents watches and it has been that at least the last 10 years. This one, a very good movement, should be saved for the ladies. Cal. 240 is a great movement. It was perfect in its 240Q form when 3940 was 36 mm. The new current perpetual is 39 mm and 240Q starts to be a bit small. The old 240Q is 27.5 mm while the newer 31-260 is already 33 mm. That means 20% more. With a bigger dial it would be possible to make more balanced dials.
No questions, 28-520 is a fantastic chronograph calibre. Many consider it the best automatic chronograph.
What you call "completely new models" I am calling face lifts. That's just a matter of definition. Finally, I do not really like to compare Patek to other models because I still consider that Patek is pretty much in their own class - at least the prices are.

No reason to cover the beautiful movement and
as the watch belongs to Grand Complication collection, it is delivered with both solid and see-through case backs. Finally, the hinged one would add the thickness and thus spoil the (perfect) lines of the watch. Best, Kari

What I like in this watch is that I will feel and look perfect after tens of years,
just look at Philippe Stern's perpetual. Furthermore, cal. 240Q is already an old, well proven and solid movement. And it does not harm that it also looks pretty fantastic. My maths goes as follows: 5327 + 5170 is much more than 5270. Best, Kari
