If I had to compare Porsche to any brand I would compare it
to JLC. As the owner of a current 911 I can tell you it actually is very practical for a sports car and it does almost everything well with out causing to much of a stir while doing it. I look at JLC in the same light. I consider them to be one of the best watch houses without grabbing headlines like Patek does.
As many have said the car watch comparison is pretty difficult to nail down but it pretty fun anyway
PS. Clarkson is very entertaining but I think some of the reason he picks on porsche so hard is because his other two co hosts love them
