But now that I have your feedback on the watch my reservations for it have picked up. Personally I wouldn’t bother with these two references. I’ll get a 5970 as it is still attainable. A 5004 reference is way less attainable now.

and yes, 5204 wears weird on the wrist due to its proportions. 5270P is nicer, but I felt that the green is too special for a regular daily use so I declined
I understand what you mean,
but I was surprised to find this green much more subtle and nice looking than I was expecting (I thought it would be loud). So I think I could wear it daily. Best, Emmanuel

Yes, 5270J and this green 5270P tell a completely different story.
J is all about vintage discretion, as you say, and green P is modern and eye-catching without being loud. I really don’t know which of the two I would choose. Best, Emmanuel

5970 might be the way to go,

both 5270 and 5204. I have the white and salmon 5270. The green is very attractive too. But 5204 is on a different level, although the G is a bit dull. My favourite is the platinum black dial. Btw, that 5270J looks awesome on your wrist.

Dear Emmanuel- Often “less is more” and I think many people would prefer to separate the chronograph and perpetual calendar functions into 2 watches.
