I think the 5170 is a spectacular piece, especially the G with the pulsation scale and breguet numerals

Honestly I don’t understand why it’s somewhat soft on the secondary market.
If I had to guess, I think it’s just because there are so many amazing options at that price point — both haute pieces and sport watches that are widely recognized from Instagram and a thing to have. I think the same is true of the Patek world timers which are also way under appreciated.

Still cannot understand why hasn't 5170J become as desirable as many sports watches. People say, too many were produced, but certainly fewer were produced compared with 5711 or 5167.... ...
