I like it!
I am not super-knowledgeable about the evolution of movements but from an aesthetic point of view, i like this new watch. i especially like that the diamonds are INSIDE the class. i am always concerned that if they are subject ot nature's bumps/taps one may become dislodged. The chrono dials remind me of an AP Millenary. I will need to see it in person. At 30mm it may be hard to read those chrono dials.

Aesthetically not the most beautiful movement in my opinion. From Patek I would expect something at the level of the datograph movement. I hope that the men's version will look better.
imo the Dato is overhyped

More importantly my wife agrees - her girlfriend agrees. The bigger problem is that women do not want to wind their watches manually. Patek's designers should have been given fake nails and told to try winding their masterpiece.. Women are more practical ...

I know as WIS, we are busy looking at the movement but what about the placement of the subdials relative to the center of the watch. They are placed slightly lower than the center, not quite Datograph low but noticeable. What does this mean for the eventu...

A subtle but...
firm message underlying the notion that things will be shaken up now that the younger Stern is the man in charge. I think its a masterpiece move, creating even MORE buzz for the brand. Looking forward to Basel 2010!
