I am kinda dont know what to do... Which will you get ? 5170p or 5172g I have seen and tried on both pieces before but i have not made up my mind ... Any suggestion? Pictures taken from the internet. ...

That to me should answer your question. One is 39.4mm and the the other is 41mm so they will fit your wrist differently. Other than that my vote goes to the 5170P for the following reasons. The dial on the 5170P catches the light very well so it changes c... 

But in this case the 5170P,,,, Both are nice but the 5170 wins imo

More classy and timeless. The 5172 has a bit of #metoomodernlookingwatch.....

Such an important decision is one of pure personal preference and should not be put forth to a committee! Besides, if you're asking yourself this question, you're likely to be at least somewhat successful, if not very successful. Go with your gut, it's go... 

Unless you can stretch to a 5070p then it’s a No brainer. Hope that helps. M.

I prefer the larger case, Also I would love for the 5172 to have the same blue dial resilience of the 5170p. But you have to give and take with what you can. Movement is not a factor here, as both have the same in house movement. Please let us know what y...

Though if i was looking at the 5170 range, i would go for the G, again because it is less dressy and uptight

more lovely blue dial and the diamonds are acutally understated. On the other hand, the 5172 has more interesting syringe hands and an excellent strap. Hence a tie based on the above observations. However, price aside, in terms of metal, I would slightly ... 

I think it’s intended to be a far more special watch, with the gradient dial, platinum case and of course diamond indicies (which are very stealthy and don’t look like diamonds unless you look closely). For me it’s one of the best. Plus, I’m just personal... 

Unless you’re absolutely sure it’s something you desire. Wait till it’s something you must have, whatever the watch may be. I would make the same decision today. But that’s just me. Good luck with your choice. Sincerely H. ...

Personally I have only seen 5170P in person and I thin photograph cannot do justice to it. I will even choose 5170P over 5070P, which I find it overhype. For example, if I go to a gathering, two person wearing a 5170P and a 5070P, you can bet that my eyes... 

but I found the dial color quite difficult. Maybe I was spoilt by my blue Overseas I do love the pilot style of it though. As for the 5170, I like the versions with Breguet numerals the best. Cheers, Daniel

I find the syringe hands of the 5172 too military and out of step (pun intended) with the formal lugs. To my eyes the design overall is inconsistent and un-modern.
