I own a few Pateks 5712r, 5960r and the 5980 1a no one ever notices my 5980; however, the other two I get at least one compliment a week. My wife and friends think the 5980 is a terrible looking watch but ask them about anything that has some gold on it and its a beauty. My friends who are watch collectors themselves always say to me the nautilus is to plain and doesn't look like its worth the money. The Nautilus IMHO is the most understated Patek and has the best resale value. When I meet with new clients I will never wear a gold watch as I find it to flashy.
