I will say, the IWC Grand Complication, which I have some experience with... Very big, very heavy (platinum version on leather strap), minute repeater too slow and too quiet. They apparently make a Grand Complication with a split seconds Chronograph I hea...

The Minute repeater is slow, takes nearly 30 seconds for the 12:59 sequence. A Patek Philippe takes around 18 seconds. Also, the MR has a very noisy governor, so if you put your watch to your ear, you hear a lot of background noise from the spinning gover...

which is why finding a watch is quite simple - it has to be the right size for me, preferably slim with Breguet hand and numerals. The officer's case is also an obvious attraction. I am personally not too keen on enamel dials as they tend to be too white ...

Correct everything but the platinum in only 50 pieces is not so good value for money! I know, I know, I am so demanding but for I cannot fathom buying the above when I know I can pick up a 3969R (my jump hour dream) and still have change to buy a 3960J!!!...

In my humble opinion 5959 is the best watch Patek has ever produced. Maybe Patek realizes it too, so the price is cough... suddenly a bit too high. The second best watches are watches with only repeaters as a complication. And the third one is unfortunate...

Both appeared at the same Geneva auction a few years ago. 3rd - RG or WG 2 button 2523 WT with cloisonné map, whichever is more mint. I love WTs and this is the ultimate for me. 4th - 2499 RG 3rd series, the super mint one coming up next month for auction...

I need to come to the end of collecting the watches. At 16 platinum Patek I will not buy anything which would increase the total number meaning that if I want to get something new, something old needs to go. But that's regarding the platinum pieces. Steel... 

I have only the 5131P on my list, but the 5316P could be an supplement if they discounted the 5208P

1436A could be a nice alternative to the 5950A as well, stainless split second.... and then there is the iconic 2499P of course which in hindsight must overtake the 5970G/P.... how could I forget the 2499P, I would have to toss that in there as well!
