Chrono 24 is just a bad platform.
They're in it for the money. Stolen watch? Sell it on our platform, as long as we can deny knowledge. That's why they have a policy of denying knowledge on everything so they don't have any liability.
But if they don't have any liability, why do they charge a commission per sale? It's just a rotten system.
And don't think auction houses are much better. Their experts don't check every watch neither. And if they claim they do, then some experts are intentionally letting bad watches through!

There are so few good and ethical dealers out there. And the vintage world. Oh man! That's why I don't like buying vintage watches. I know I'm going to get some relumed or "force-aged" dial and it won't be disclosed.

I had reported many listings on C24 against many sellers but no action was taken...
Sorry to see that and I'm sure your Dad's treasures will pass on to many generations. Many sellers are using real photos and they are not selling at lower price just to make buyers feel it's a real watch....it;s a very scary world out there.
