As I said in my previous post about such a watch being posted for sale...

Half of these dealers don't have half of the watches they're claiming to sell.
They're just trying to get a contact list of potential buyers. Any real buyer who is truly thinking that such a watch is actually for sale is just stupid and naive.
The watch world is filled with con men. It's just as bad as the modern art world. And these con men are integrated at every level; at auction houses, at online websites, and are purported experts. Look at the guy who counterfeited wine from all over the world. Con men look at this as a sport where wealthy people who don't know the subject very well can be easily fooled. This is especially true in vintage watches too. Where so many terms can be manipulated. One auction house even suggested that the watch they were auctioning was a Mark 2.5, it had parts of a Mark 2 and parts of a Mark 3. Making it super rare since it was a transitional piece while the factory was being retooled. Bollocks! I strongly advise everyone to take a step back and be objective of their own ability to detect poor quality watches. Nearly every amateur watch collector seems to overestimate their skills and think they'll beat the odds.
