Cars

There are vintage vehicles that ppl buy due to it’s collectibility as well as appreciation in value. Look at the annual Monterey Car Week. Vintage Ferraris, Mercedes, etc. where a 1995 MacLauren F1 sold for $20.5 million in 2018. Why do you frown upon watches being a collectible as well and used as a new asset class for collectors and enthusiasts?? I’m not saying this is an investment vehicle like stocks and bonds. I’m seeing this from the lens of a collector of fine arts, cars, etc.  Watches deserve it’s day in the sun as a new asset class of collecting that people can appreciate not only it’s craftsmanship but also enjoy it’s price appreciation as well.  Much easier to collect watches than have cars in an air conditioned garage with a full time mechanic maintaining your vehicles.  Or having a “museum” with sun block windows to preserve your fine art collection!
