Best Patek Phillipe for 1st time buyer/investment
Thank you in advance as I really appreciate the advice of trusted Patek Phillipe collectors as yourself!
I am a big fan of Patek Phillipe and am ready to buy a great watch. I am looking to spend $15-25K on an investment grade watch. My question are as follows:
1. Should I look at vintage or new Patek Phillipe watches?
2. What options (complications) are the most desirable on the collector market, and which will increase in value the best?
3. If you could go back in time and purchase your first Patek Phillipe all over again (with my budget) what would you buy and why?
4. Any considerations or factors I should consider when looking for my Patek Phillipe?
5. Where are the best and most trusted places to purchase these watches?
Again, thanks for your time and your expertise!

How about a nice 5035? A mint example with box and papers can usually be had within your price range, and is available in yellow, rose, or white gold. Patek was the first to introduce the annual calender and it was immediately well received as a "useful" ...

In my opinion, although your budget may seem a little limited for a Patek, I believe you can get a great Patek for $25k and under. The 5110 world timer has been correctly mentioned and so has the 5711 nautilus. I would also suggest the 3960 (150th anniver...

5085
By: nice2guy : June 14th, 2014-08:05
I would look at the 5085. You obviously have to like the looks of any watch you buy, but for value, I think this is it. It has the cal. 240 micro rotor, and the purpose of this caliber is to save space. So Patek encased it with a watch case that is thin a...
Dial

As you write the dial is the 60% of the value of 2526. It is the easyiest thing to evaluate, also for a newbie. Another fundamental tip for newbie: Buy such a watch in shop, not in internet. And from well known expert shop: it is better to pay 10/15% more...
