you obviously have good taste
as you're on the omega forum. i have noticed that the really nice examples of eterna are going up, and have been steadily for a few years now. they'll never be as sought after as omega, of course, as the companies similarities only go so far, and the last development i read about wasn't thrilling. but you can still get some of the really wonderful models like the kon tiki super, the british military model or solid gold centenaires for reasonable sums. well, reasonable to folks here. until i decide to stop feeding my children, they will be objects of affectionate dreaming for me.
