... low end Jaeger LeCoultre to me.

As a matter of fact, that looks like a really, really nice JLC!  Maybe even the JLC "beaters" can adjust the date backwards and forwards - which is why they are called La Grande Maison.  Truly one of my favorite MAJOR brands.

I've become more of an Independent follower these days and I believe JLC operates like an independent - what with all the exciting stuff that keeps coming out of Vallee de Joux.  B ut when someone says, "Hey Scott, what Patek Philippe should I get?"  My answer is generally, "Well, let's go to the Jaeger LeCoultre boutique and pick out a real watch for you!"  I'm not poo-pooing PP, but the fact of the matter is that JLC used to make the movements for Patek.  And truth be told, I'm pretty darn tired of seeing prince nepot, Thierry Stern, holding a repeater up to his ear before he let's said piece out of the factory.  Puhlease... this guy hasn't performed a hard day of work in his life.  If not for his daddy, he'd have nothing.

Okay, now go ahead and ask me how I really feel smile

Welcome Nilo! Moderator for Omega

Nilo doesn't really need much of an introduction from me as he has been around for many years. A regular contributor to many forums, but now the active Moderator for Omega. Firstly, congratulations Nilo on taking on the Omega forum. Omega is one of the mo...

Omega is a tough forum to moderate, since the field of vintage watches is very wide, and the modern producton has to be explained. Looking forward to reading you, Best, Nicolas
