Omega Trilogy landed....no more fake news :)
Feb 03, 2018,22:46 PM
First incoming of 2018 and I can only say, "What a set this is!"
The 3 watches looks great in bracelet, and for a moment, I almost wanted to leave it that way, because my boss likes that RM and she prefers bracelet, and some members say keep the Speedmaster with bracelet like original 1957, also the SM300 with bracelet for swimming....all makes good sense.
But then where's the fun not to play around so after spending some time interchanging the options, here is my configuration.
Omega Trilogy Trio shot:
Note this tray was from the lid of the wooden box, turned over so you can place your watches.
Before arriving at the boutique, I had to visit a must eat famous place call Ding Tai Fung...some may know it so here are some goodies to feed your tummy first.
Drove 200 miles to arrive before restaurant open at 10am
Display window showing workers preparing the fresh dumpling dough and wrapping it.
Not sure how coincidence the table number assigned
Ordered 2 trays, gone in 60s like mj23 said
Just look at the amount of soup within a dumpling
Pot stickers
My boss wrist shot
Sasame dumpling is also to die for.
Now it's time to head towards the main event.....
Love the Omega symbol on the crystal.
Smart members will know this is not a good sign
More bad news
More bad news x2
SM300 new look The leathers are very soft, some say flimsy but Omega said this is how it was 60 years ago, I think they are nice, especially those vintage Omega buckle logo.
RM new look
I like the winding feel of the Speedmaster, cal 1861, and the pusher feel is crisp and solid. The bracelet is very comfortable and I like the shiny end with matt center links.
The size of the watches is good for me, and my boss, even though I can wear 44.25mm Speedmaster...because the long lugs make it look ok.
Of the 3, I say my favorite is still the Speedmaster, follow by the SM300, than the RM, as I originally anticipated.
Sorry for so many photos but it's just such an awesome set and great job by Omega to bring us back in time 60 years....cheers to more 60 years to come.
Rgds
