Mark IV wristshots
Hey everyone,
As we are beeing presented a reedition of the Mark II as pre-basleworld 2014 novelty, I thought we could make a kind of little roll-call of Mark XX Speeds.
I have this watch since it was bought new (It was my father's before beeing mine). I love the design, the quality of the materials, the finish, the markings on the dial....
A great style testimony of the 70's: round, wide, opposition of large and small surfaces. I love it!
The Mark IV was produced in 1973-1974 (69-73 for the Mark II), under reference 176.009, at around 82,200 pieces and is equipped with the Lemania 1340 based (Omega 1040) and works like a VW.
My watch went for a Spa in 2012 in Bienne (they did a fantastic work).
It is a 41.5 mm large and around 15.3 mm thick watch which gives to the wrist a really nice look, whether you're dressed casual or even with a suit (especially with leather straps, mine is shark, as it was the standard leather mount at the time)
We all know the Mark IV is the best but I'll be delighted to see the others too !
