. . . in Huntington Beach. When I showed him the reason for my trip, he said, "About forty years ago I was looking at this massive Omega dive watch in a jewelry store. It had a black dial, and they were asking $3400 for it. That was about $3000 more than ... 

Looks so good. And a nice story too. Congratulations on the acquisition of one of the toughest dive watches out there.

. . . but there was no point going before Christmas as parking spaces would've been hard to find. No problem finding a convenient spot next to the elevator yesterday!

. . . yet . This coming year, maybe?

Congratulations.! I consider the Ultra Deep to be the only truly wearable super deep diver. Just thin enough so one can wear it as an every day sport watch…even more wearable than the Ploprof. If I didn’t already own the P.O. chrono it would be on my wris... 

. . . much less 6000, but it's enjoyable finally being in the company of dive watch enthusiasts. I've always liked the genre, but couldn't find one nearly as close to ideal until UD came along. An original SM 1000 would've done the trick, but they're scar... 

That is a massive 6000 meters deep Seamaster. I make no secret about it, the ultra deep is for me a must have as Omega seen by me as the grand in watch land. Before i can enjoy Dr No’s his ultra deep.

Between the UD and the Ploprof, what were the deciding factors to go for the UD?

. . . overtly large. Its presence is as unavoidable as it is unmistakeable. UD is more like the Flightmaster - it blends in on my slender wrist. No one has noticed it yet; I consider that a positive.

. . . if only for the experience. Who knows? Maybe there's an Omega in your future!

It’s a fantastic offer from Omega I like the wrist presence. And I like the pure dial with the 3 - 6 - 9 - 12, especially that it is not disturbed by a date window. My best 6.000 wishes Thomas

True story: a friend had a YG Rolex diver on vacation in the Pacific and decided to test the water depth rating by attaching it to his deep sea fishing line. After it was submerged someone reminded him that fish are attracted to shiny objects. Hilarity en...

Very comfortable and wearable on my 6" wrist despite the fact that it looks too large. I was hoping to try the bracelet version but this was all they had. ...  

. . . so that I can wear the short strap that's already been delivered. Totally down with the appearance of the strap . . . might have to switch around often to appreciate both options. Art

. . . and unexpectedly comfortable aesthetically. I don't tolerate large watches well, but the UD is a rare exception. My 910 Flightmaster is also an exception, and GO Navigators another. Currently wearing a '62 ref 14701 Seamaster . . . . . . that's 35 m...  

They have the orange version available. Tried on for fun and was surprised how wearable it is! Sure it’s as thick as my college girl friend but still so wearable! Love the transition dial.
