If I could only have 1, then yes my choice would be the PAM372
However, the PAM000 and the PAM372 are 2 totally different watches. At times, you'll feel like you want to wear the larger PAM372 and then somedays you'll miss the smaller PAM000, of which still is a very large watch for most people.
I always want to switch between a 47mm and a 44mm Luminor whenever I wear my Panerai's. There is something sexy about BOTH sizes. When I do get tired of wearing a 47mm, I switch to the 44mm. And vice versa.
For Panerai, I'd highly suggest getting both a 44mm and a 47mm. You'll be missing out of the Panerai experience if you only get one size IMO.
