a great report, Jerome. Quite a surprising followup to the Duometre Chronographe but I suppose a dual time is just too obvious.
I really like the details and like you, not a fan of cutouts but this one works well, just like the ones on the Sonnerie. A disappointment to me is that the Duometre series could have been clearly differentiated from say, the Master series, by higher technical specs and finish. In this case, the moon accuracy, even if it does not tap on the 122-year Lange moon accuracy, should at least be good for the usual recommended service period of 5 years. 3 years just seems like they didnt try very hard to excel. (Again, this 'complaint' may be due to my(our?) high expectations for the Manufacture!)
PS, just recalled that the new Lange 1815 moonphase has a crazy accuracy of 1,000+ years. That's striving for excellence (or irrelevant benchmarks, depending on your perspective.) This message has been edited by damien on 2010-01-26 08:14:13
