I like the timer. The standard Memovox doesn't feel different enough from the 2010 revision to feel new or warrant a replacement. As for the date, I have no objections other than the use of a contrasting date disc. A blue metallic disc would have been more attractive and more coherent. AP realized that with the Royal Oaks in 2012 to good effect, but I'm surprised how many other brands have not followed.
The 956 movement is industrial, but it's also attractive enough to warrant the display caseback. This is in contrast to the Polaris chrono and its caliber 751, which likely should have stayed hidden. But JLC made the right call with the new Memovox.

Totally true. Eve if the current Memovox is more refined, it is still too close to the former one. But it is some great news for those who don't own the former. As for the Timer,

The Timer, one of the first JLC in some time that made me look harder, and read on.
I do like it, visually. And the alarm and countdown combination is really very practical. Neither are something most of us think much about when we think about mechanical watches.
Granted, they are nice, I will give JLC that much. But don't you think its time for them to introduce
something new and exciting instead of reissues, or tributes to former watches. Surely someone at JLC can come up with a fresh, new idea and put it into motion.
