I recall a period when JLC was far more adventurous in its offerings - Amvox, Reverso Squadra, Master Compressor, Reverso Gran' Sport...
...and many more inventive variations on the regular Reverso. I've always wondered whether they just got slaughtered in sales with those lines, or whether some higher-up at Richmont stepped in and decreed "Thou shalt not innovate!" JLC is one of my favorite houses, but every one I've owned has dated from about 2005 or earlier.

Some is tight, some isn't...

Presuming it's done similarly to the previos generation Memovox that I own, the details and finishing on the date window are indeed nice. 👍

The Timer, one of the first JLC in some time that made me look harder, and read on.
I do like it, visually. And the alarm and countdown combination is really very practical. Neither are something most of us think much about when we think about mechanical watches.
Granted, they are nice, I will give JLC that much. But don't you think its time for them to introduce
something new and exciting instead of reissues, or tributes to former watches. Surely someone at JLC can come up with a fresh, new idea and put it into motion.

Very true - but interestingly, each of those lines was at a price point at whole number multiples (or even an order of magnitdue) above the Amvox,
Squadra, Master Compressor, Gran' Sport, or other Reversos. It would appear that the policy became "if we're going to due something innovative, it's going to be in precious metal (or exotic materials) and cost > $30,000 US." Interesting way to differentia...
