Sad to hear that
I agree with you on the fact that it is really frustrating to receive a watch which doesn't perfectly works, and more, which obviously has a problem.
But on another side, I don't know any Manufacture which has 0 problems.
It would be better, of course, to avoid this kind of problems, and I do agree with you on this: The Manufactures, all of them, should get the " 0 problem " result.
But the thing is how to solve this.
A true manufacture will repair and solve it perfectly, and JLC will do it on your watch.
I have no doubt about it.
Keep us updated, please.

I know that this things do happen - even to the best most prestigious brands.... Its just different when somebody else has the problem. Hopefully I will receive good service from JLC - I am expecting a new watch, since mine is only 2 weeks old and I don't...
Sorry to hear of your issues.

Like many have already written, problems can occur with any brand. It's not acceptable, but it's (unfortunately) life. It's the way they're dealt with that matters. Let's hope it returns quickly so you can get on with the enjoyment of wearing it. You say ...
I totally agree with Nicolas

before your trust is gone, it is only reasonable to allow JLC the opportunity to address the issue. It is also totally unreasonable to think that there can not be an issue with a mechanical device, especially when it is new. This is Earth not Utopia. -- R...
So far no response from JLC
By: jcb_frnk : April 6th, 2010-08:55
I has been a few days now - but so far I only have received the automated mail from JLC and no other response. Maybe I am just dreaming that this should go faster.... At least the sales associate from Singapore called last night offering help. Will keep y...
Hope you are right

When I purchased the watch I did not pay attention to the reflections on the glass. I would assume in this price range that a reflective coating should be the norm since I have cheaper time pieces which have coatings on the inside and outside. Therefore I...

Sorry to hear about your problems and hope things get resolved quickly. Very curious about a few things. Did you get the watch in Singapore? Did your original AD of purchase attempt to deal with your issues directly? Strange that they would direct you to ...

Singapore has a BIG selection of watches and during our recent vacation I looked at many different time pieces in various stores. There is no selection of any kind where I live, the few JLC watches or other brands are 9 hours round trip by car away and th...

Is also whom had helped me with my issue. As Nicolas has said, you will be taken care of for sure. I do agree with you in that JLC should be responding directly to you via email at least re this disappointing concern of yours. Keep us in the loop on what ...
8 weeks are too long?
By: amanico : May 8th, 2010-03:13
Wow, I hope you will never have to send a Vintage JLC to the Service Center, it will take 12 months! Seriously, send a watch to AP, PP, VC, Breguet, UN and so on, and you will see how many months it will take... 8 weeks look reasonnable, in comparison. Be...
thank you Nicolas

Thanks for your reply. Seems I have to wait another 4 weeks for the watch. The most frustrating part is the lack of information from the company. If they told me how long it will take, what they are doing to it etc. - that would really go a long way in cu...

Yes, there is always something to improve, with every brand. And Yes, you're true, you should be informed on what has to be done on your watch. But if you call stephanie, I'm pretty sure she will be able to get all these informations for you. Actually, 8 ...

I experienced the same problem - the Navy Seals watch stopped when operating the alarm. The AD followed up - got the watch send through sevice. In all it took around 7 to 8 weeks - I am just glad it is back and now functions as it should and keeps good ti...
Repair time
By: SFO : May 12th, 2010-03:52
I appreciate your frustration. The AD kept me informed, but I have also learned from experience that service takes a long time and so does a repair - so I had no expectation of getting it done quicker than 8 weeks. Now it is back and works flawlessly. It ...
