have you ever seen a price being reduced after such uplifts ?
I do not recall having seen such a thing in the luxury area while it is more commun in other domains.
I guess so big increases ( an others brands like PP have also done the same) might bring some cash quickly but i guess it is also removing a branch of their customers who do not see the value in those products.
Am I wrong or ….
If I remember correct the official listprice for a steel reverso duo date was 9300 euro in 2022. I notice JLC increased it a little bit in Jan 2023 From 9300 to 13400 That is 43% ….. in one time ?? ...
There were two increases
First they went to about 11.500 and then there was another price increase.

Several executives are indeed enjoying the inflationary environment
They squeeze every drop they can from the customer. Unfortunate situation that leads to problems across the board when everyone adopts this attitude (even in basic industrial materials)
I’m guessing that the prices will never go down again.
Precedent is for more increases…and customers will keep paying.

I don't remember the exact year, maybe 2012 - both Patek and AP lowered prices.

Quality isn't improving and prices are skyrocketing. JLC focused too much on making new variants of extremely expensive watches and gave little to no attention to the pieces they actually sell in 2022. I am not too happy about how the brand is being manag...

No product improvement Higher prices Which are used to advertise more Which boosts effective sales prices And the cycle continues. For them, the money is better spent on advertising than on improving the product.
